Alley
Diagon
Alley is an exclusively wizarding street full of magical shops. It's
like the wizarding shopping centre of Britain. It is accessed by walking
through The Leaky Cauldron (situated in London between a big record
shop and book shop) out into a courtyard and tapping a brick 3 times.
This opens the magical archway that leads to Diagon Alley. Diagon Alley
is completely impossible for muggles to penetrate.
Diagon
Alley is an incredible visual feast. It is quite narrow and cluttered
with a cobbled floor and tons of fascinating brightly coloured shops
selling everything from biting carrots to owls and wands.

and other places in Diagon Alley include:
Gringotts
Wizarding Bank
- A wizarding bank where the money and valuables are kept in high security
vaults underground which can be reached by taking a ride ona mine-cart.
It's run by Goblins and houses the valuables of thousands and thousands
of witches and wizards around Britain.
Madam
Malkin's Robes for All Ocasions
- A robe shop which sells a huge selection of robes. You can get fitted
for your Hogwarts uniform in this shop.
Quality
Quidditch Supplies
- A shop which specialises in Quidditch equipment and related items.
It stocks things like quidditch robes, broomsticks, balls and special
team merchandise (Chudley Cannon posters for example).
Apothacary
- A chemist type shop where you can get remedies, potion ingrediants
and other items such as unicorn horns or snarled claws.
Flourish
& Blotts
- A wizarding book store with shelves stacked to the ceiling holding
every single type of book you could imagine.
Olivanders'
wands
- Olivanders' wand shop is the essential shop for all wicthes and wizards
when getting themselves a wand. Mr Ollivander, who ownes the store is
a wand expert and can remeber every single wand he's ever sold. Olivanders'
has been making wands since 382 BC!
Florean
Fortescue's Ice-Cream Parlour
- A shop which makes brilliant ice-cream. The owner, Florean Fortescue
is very knowledgable about medieval witch hunts and gave Harry free
sundaes every half hour when he was staying at The Leaky Cauldron.
Eeylops
Owl Emporium
- A magical creature shop which specialises in owls. Harry bought Hedwig
from this shop.
Magical
Menagerie
- A magical creature shop. This is very good for any magical animals
that you want. Hermione bough Crookshanks here.
The
Hog's Head
- A pub which Hagrid visits fairly regularly. He won Norbert at the
Hog's Head.
