F.A.Q: Frequently asked questions

Here are some questions that I'm freqently asked:

When is book 7 coming out?
July 21 2007.

What is the title of book 7?
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

When is the next Harry Potter movie coming out?
The 6th Harry Potter film is scheduled for release in December 2008.

Are you connected to JK Rowling or the movie people?
Unfortunately, I have absolutely no connection to JK, the people in charge of the movies or the cast so please don't email me begging to me to give you a part in the next movie!

Will JK/the HP actors answer my letters?
JK is very busy writing book 6 at the moment and also receives thousands of letters each day. For this reason, she has said that's it's almost impossible for her to answer individual letters - she's therefore set up a website through which she can communicate with the fans. But I received a letter from her a few years ago, so it's worth a try anyway. You can find her address here.

It is definitely worth writing to the actors of the HP movies because they do respond. Most do not respond individually, but send out signed photos, newsletters or standard thankyou letters. I have written to Dan Radcliffe and Rupert Grint and received letters and signed photos from both of them. To find the cast's address, click here.

What program did you use to make this site?
I used Macromedia Dreamweaver and normal html for the basic site design and javascript for some specific interactive features such as polls, quizzes and navigation. I used a mixture of Macromedia Fireworks and Adobe Photoshop for the graphics and images and Macromedia Flash for the animations. I also have some features that are remotely hosted, such as the news posting system, guestbooks, forums and chat.

How long did it take to make this site?
By the time I set about making this site, I already had files and archives of HP stuff that I'd been compiling for the previous year, so most of the content was essentially ready. It took me about two weeks to create the layout and the basic first edition of the site, with pictures and basic content. Over the past three years, I've been building up the site constantly, to make it what it is today.
