Magician's Disclaimer

I am a magician in my 6th yr at the College of Magic in Cape Town, South Africa and I know the dangers of revealing and teaching magic tricks to people you don't know (and revealing the secrets of tricks in general). Even so, I decided to make this website because I wanted to give people a really interactive hobby related to HP which they could build from in their own time from their own resources. However, I created The Magic Zone on the condition that the tricks taught here are not advanced and highly guarded secrets, they are simple tricks but are still fun and effective. Please understand that it is against everything a magician stands for to reveal the secrets of any magic trick and therefore it would be against my oath as a magician to reveal any 'big' tricks.

I must ask you not to freely give away the secrets behind these tricks. Practice them until you have them perfect before you perform them, add in your own props and theme and a level of originality. Perform them responsibly.

Here are a few important points that form part of the magician's code:

1. Always practise and prepare carefully before you perform any trick.
2. Never tell anyone the secrets of your magic - once they know, the effect will be spoiled for them.
3. If you can help it, do not perform one particular trick for the same audience twice
4. If something goes wrong, move on, do not be apologetic.
