Butterbeer

Description:
A type of drink that can be bought at the Three
Broomsticks in Hogsmeade. Butterbeer comes in
warm foaming tankards and is according to Harry
'the most delicious thing he'd ever tasted'; it heats
every bit of you up from the inside and makes you
feel satisfied and happy..

Ingredients: (as if using an average cup)
- ¾ cup Ginger ale
- 2 teaspoons Honey
- pinch of Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cream
- pinch Bicarbonate of soda
- Microwave for heating

Directions:
- Pour ginger ale into cup
- Add honey and stir untill dissolves
- Add sugar and stir
- Heat in microwave for 20s - so that warm
- Add cream and stir
- Add a tiny pinch of bicard (to make it foam - optional)

Pumpkin Juice

Description:
The preferred wizarding drink - Pumpkin juice is cool,
refreshing and thirst quenching.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups of pumpkin, chopped into chunks
- 2 cups of apple juice
- ½ cup pineapple juice

Directions:
- Liquidise the pumpkin pieces by squeezing through
cheesecloth or using a juicer
- Pour the pumpkin, apple and pineapple into a blender, add more water / apple juice if too thick
- Chill the finished pumpkin juice and serve with ice

Canary Creams

Description:
A sweet created by Fred and George Weasley,
the Canary Cream is a chocolate wafer with cream
in between. It turns the person who eats it into a
large, yellow canary for a minute or so... but don't
worry, we've de-jinxed it for your convenience!

Ingredients:
- Lemon creams
- Cooking chocolate

Directions:
- Crush the contents of 1 or 2 Lemon Cream boxes and
lay down in a baking tray (enough to fill the tray)
- Warm the crushed lemon creams for about 3 minutes in the oven
- Let the creams cool and then cut into square/make in mounds
- Melt the chocolate and as it dries, mould it into a head
and body - forming the shape of a small bird
- - While the birds are still hot place a chocolate bird randomely on top of the crushed lemon creams

Cockraoch Clusters

Description:
A type of wizarding sweet bought in Honeydukes
sweet shop in Hogsmeade. Cockroach Clusters
contain real cockroaches (certainly an acquired
taste!) ... but do ours? Try for yourself...

Ingredients:
- Peanuts
- Rice crispies
- Marshmallow
- Melted cooking chocolate

Directions:
- Melt butter in pan
- Add marshmallows and leave until melted
- Add peanuts and rice crispies and when the marsh-
mellow begins to harden, roll the mixture into
separate clusters
- Pour the melted chocolate over the clusters and let
it cool

Ice Mice

Description:
A sweet from Honeydukes which is in the shape of a tiny mouse and makes
your teeth chatter its so cold.

Ingredients:
- Marshmallow mice (the type you can buy at any small shop)

Directions: (per mouse)

Simply freeze the mice and keep in iced cooler bag before serving
- Just before serving let the mice sit for a few minutes at room temperature so that they're not too frozen to eat

Ton-Tongue Toffee

Description:
A sweet invented by Fred and George which causes
the tongue of person who ate it to keep on growing
until it is shrunk by magic or the magic wears off.
We've de-jinxed this too - just in case we don't have
a wand at hand to perform a shrinking charm.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups sugar
- 8 tablespoons butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 ½ cups water

Directions:
- In a medium saucepan, mix all the ingredients and
melt over medium heat until sugar is completely
dissolved
- Without further stirring, boil until mixture until
starts to bubble viciously
- Pour mixture into a greased or buttered baking tin
and let cool until almost firm
- Score surface into squares
- When cool, break into pieces (easy now that scored)

Treacle Fudge

Description:
Mrs Weasley's delicious speciality. Though Hagrid's
treacle fudge often end up a tooth breaker (make
sure yours isn't!)

Ingredients:
- ½ cup light cream/evaporated milk
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups unsweetened melted chocolate
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup molasses

Directions:
- Mix cream, sugar & salt in a large bowl
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the chocolate.
remove heat and add molasses.
- Add the saucepan and bowl mixtures together
- Pour mixture into a pan and let it cool
- Cut into squares once cooled and serve!

Fizzing Whizzbees

Description:
A type of sweet which makes you levitate about a half a
metre off the ground for a minute or two (but we've
de-magicked them - levitating's not in your indemnity
form). The sweet can be bought at Honeydukes and is
believed to be made from the Billywig, a type of magical
insect.

Ingredients:
- Large sherbet balls from any sweetshop

Directions:
- Put them into your mouth and feel them fizz and hover!
(anything can happen if you believe it's real, right?)
